BREAKING NEWS FROM Spartan Football: Michigan State QB Damion Terry Recovering from Torn Labrum Surgery

Damion Terry is one of the most gifted players athletically on the Spartan roster. The red shirt freshman QB from Cathedral Prep High school in Pennsylvania has a very bright future for his MSU career. Terry had surgery after the conclusion to spring football to repair the injury and he is out of his sling now.  The injury occurred in his NON throwing shoulder.

I spoke with Michigan State head coach Mark Dantonio in his office on Monday and he confirmed Terry’s recovery saying, “I expect him back by the first game.” The source inside Spartan Football who originally told Spartan Nation of the injury said about him being back this season, “Most definitely.”

Throughout the duration of the spring Terry was the 3rd string QB behind Connor Cook the starter and Tyler O’Connor the second string signal caller. Terry has all of the gifts both mentally and athletically to be a highly successful college QB. Expectations have been sky high for the young man, while some forget he has yet to be on campus for one year and is adjusting to the college game.

Terry also tore his labrum while still in high school. Terry is expected to make a 100% recovery and this injury is not expected to hinder his career. Dantonio’s acknowledgement that he” expect(ed) him back by the first game,” confirmed that.
