Devastating News Hits Spartan Football: Mark Dantonio Suspends Star MLB/Captain Max Bullough From Rose Bowl

Entering the 2014 Rose Bowl the MSU defense was the nation’s elite with playmakers from position to position. They still are loaded with playmakers, but this time perhaps their best one will not play. Senior LB and Captain Max Bullough has been suspended from the team for the Rose Bowl, he did not make the trip to California and his career is over at MSU. Devastating news.

Here is the press release MSU sent out addressing the issue:

Statement from Michigan State head coach Mark Dantonio on suspension of Max Bullough:

“Max Bullough has been suspended for the remainder of the season for a violation of team rules. It is extremely disappointing for all parties involved. We will stay focused and close ranks as we prepare for Stanford on January 1 in the Rose Bowl. Max will forever remain a Spartan and valued member in this team’s achievements.”

“We will have no further comment on this issue.”

Spartan Nation will look at how the Spartans cope without Bullough later today.

Why? Isn’t this a bit severe?

Who the heck can fill in?

In a state of shock, Hondo. I’m sure you’ll have more about this, but this old timer is stunned.

Sad to realize it must have been quite a serious screwup for a punishment this severe. A good lesson for all in the MD program to seriously consider the ramifications of decisions they make.
