Hondo: The three-point line being moved out, the shot clock being shortened, reframing the charging circles…these are hurting college basketball in my opinion. Any chance it changes before the year starts?

 

Izzo: I hope so. It’s almost like we need a pardon from the Pope to get some of these things done. I don’t understand it. I mean we can’t just react quickly and maybe make spilt second decisions that have been there forever. But I think on some of these things, the elbowing to the head, those are things that they put in and what you gotta do sometimes is admit it didn’t work. Sometimes I don’t think we do a good enough job of that. So hopefully that’s gonna happen. I’m a fan of moving it from 35 to 30. I don’t think it’s life and death, the circle inside. I’m a big fan of moving that out. I’m glad all these fall down charges and chances to get injuries and things like that. I’m not a big fan of that at all.
