An extra nugget on Stoutland's potentially rising ticket price, though what happened down in Miami one would think could have a major impact on his career.

Offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland was the only on-field assistant not to receive a raise. Stoutland, now in between seasons of a two-year contract paying him $395,000 per year, was named in recruiting allegations against the University of Miami that came to light after he joined the UA staff.

Asked if those allegations were related to Stoutland’s absence from the board’s agenda, Saban said: “As a university, we make decisions to do things because we think it’s the right thing to do.

“In the future, I think Jeff Stoutland deserves to get a raise based on the merit of the work that he’s done here, but I also think that it wouldn’t be smart on our part to ignore other things that have happened.”
