Dantonio via MSU SID John Lewandowski said tonight, “Ted Gill’s contract runs through March 31, 2013, and will not be renewed. He has been a contributing member of my coaching staff for nine years, including the last six seasons here at Michigan State. I wish Ted the best in his future endeavors.”

Whoa. Shakeups coming. Pretty curt statement by Dantonio. Very curt, in fact.

Odd timing to say the least.

If Gill isn’t retiring, this is very strange.

Boy, Somethings up in Spartan football…. There is some kind of under current in the Spartan football program. I’d have thought that the offense coordinator would be on the hot spot…
Coach Dantonio usually has a more personable side..this is short and not so sweet!

So what’s up in Spartan Football?

Look folks as far I’m concerned we’ve heard for the past several years about the athletic ability of our front four and their backups. And yet, we never seem to get the kind of pressure out of 4 or even 5 guys that’s been expected. So to be honest, I am not sad to see Ted be retired. I would be shocked however to see any other changes.
