After four NFL divisional title round bouts this weekend, only four teams remain standing. Of the four Spartans involved, two will advance to the Conference Championship round- one step away from the Super Bowl.
The Broncos lost a double overtime thriller to the Ravens on Saturday night. Kevin Vickerson started at defensive tackle for Denver, notching two tackles and two assists in the loss. On the season, the veteran racked up 44 total tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble. Baltimore will face off with New England next Sunday.
Tom Brady and the Patriots triumphed over the Texans on Sunday, 41-28. Houston rookie Keshawn Martin returned three punts for 17 yards on the day. Martin emerged this season as the Texans’ go-to man on returns, and will be looking to build on his success next year.
The 49ers earned the right to play the Falcons in the NFC Championship by capturing a 45-31 victory over the Packers on Saturday evening. Garret Celek got some playing time at tight end for San Francisco, but did not record any stats. 49ers safety Trenton Robinson was not active for the contest.
